NSW’s international border crossing may cause domestic travel to be delayed.
The end of quarantine in NSW could delay the resumption of domestic travel ahead of the holiday season. The federal government has clarified New South Wales’ announcement that fully-vaccinated international visitors will not require quarantine, with the prime minister stating that the measure will apply only to returning Australian citizens, residents, and their families. Later, Prime Minister Scott Morrison stated that the quarantine exemption would apply only to Australian citizens and permanent residents, not to those on temporary visas.
