NSW is now closed to applications for nomination under the Business Innovation and Investment program (BIIP)
NSW has exhausted its allocation of nomination applications this program year.
NSW nomination is now closed as we have filled the places provided to us by the Commonwealth Department of Home Affairs.
NSW is unable to accept emailed applications for the BIIP until the new program year commences 1st July 2020. This includes the:
Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) and
Business Talent visa (subclass 132) visas
You cannot submit an application for NSW nomination for the:
188A,
188B,
188C,
188E, and;
132SBH visas.
You can submit an application for NSW nomination for the:
188A Extension,
188C Extension,
888A,
888B, and;
888C visas.
We will open to applications for NSW nomination for visas under the BIIP program in the new financial year commencing 1 July 2020.
Business and investor migration
If you are a business or investor migrant who is interested in establishing a business or investing in NSW, you may be eligible for NSW nomination under the Australian Business Innovation and Investment Visa Program.
There are several visa options which may be available depending on your background and proposed activity in the state. These include:
Business Talent visa (subclass 132)
Business Innovation and Investment visa (subclass 188/888), or the
Significant Investor visa

NSW skilled nominated migration
If you are in a highly skilled occupation and are seeking an opportunity to migrate to Australia to live and advance your career, you may wish to seek NSW nomination for the Skilled Nominated (Provisional) visa (subclass 190) or the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491).

Visa applications to the Department of Home Affairs
The Commonwealth Department of Home Affairs has sole responsibility for issuing visas to Australia. Nomination by NSW does not guarantee a positive visa outcome.
If an application is refused by the Department of Home Affairs, NSW Treasury is unable to support any request for review made to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
