In July 2024, Tasmania announced its allocation for skilled migration visas in the 2024-25 program year:
Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa: 2,100 places
Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa: 760 places
Tasmania’s Skilled Migration State Nomination Program will soon reopen for new Registrations of Interest. Applicants awaiting decisions on their nominations will continue to be processed under existing guidelines. Note that subclass 491 applicants seeking subclass 190 nomination must withdraw and reapply accordingly.
