An important update regarding English language score requirements for student visas and post-graduate visas. Effective March 23, 2024, the Home Affairs department will be implementing an increase in the minimum English language proficiency scores for these visa categories.
Student visas:The minimum test score for the for the English proficiency requirement increases from International English language Testing System (IELTS) 5.5. to 6.0 (or equivalent)
Temporary Graduate visas The minimum score required increases from IELTS 6.0 to 6.5 (or equivalent) with a minimum score of 5.5 for each component of the test (reading, writing, speaking and listening)
