Those wishing to visit Australia as tourists, backpackers, or overseas students will soon face higher visa application expenses.
According to budget documents, the government will raise application fees starting on July 1 for a number of visa types, including a few subclasses of tourist and temporary visas. Additionally, due to an increase in the Passenger Movement Charge, leaving Australia will cost extra.
