The next actions the Albanese government is taking to improve student protection and uphold integrity in the field of international education were revealed today.
These steps will address the significant flaws with integrity in the industry that the Nixon Review’s Rapid Review into the Exploitation of Australia’s Visa System found. The Government intends to incorporate risk indicators throughout the global education system as a component of its reaction to the Nixon Review.
In order to improve the current fit and proper provider test, the government will also revise the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act).
