The number of occupations with skills shortages has nearly doubled in the past year, and authorities are examining the most effective solutions, although visa opportunities will not be “automatically” updated.The National Skills Commission’s 2022 Skills Priority List, funded by the federal government, identified 286 occupations with national shortages, compared to 153 occupations in 2021.
