The Australian Government welcomes the return of a variety of temporary workers to assist in important roles during the pandemic recovery process. Since the Government declared that qualified visa holders who are fully vaccinated can enter Australia, including Skilled and Student cohorts, as well as Humanitarian, Working Holiday Maker, and some family visa holders.
From 18 February 2022, the Government will implement adjustments to allow current and past Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa holders to re-enter Australia and seek for a subsequent stay.
Graduates who were outside of Australia between 1 February 2020 and 14 December 2021 while holding a valid Temporary Graduate visa will have their visas extended.
The extension will take effect on 18 February 2022, and visa holders will be notified directly by the Department of Home Affairs. Visa holders may arrive after the extension takes effect, on or after 18 February.
