The citizens of the 45 eVisitor or ETA-eligible countries can apply for a visitor visa for Australia online for short tourism or business stays, all other passport holders can apply for a visitor visa for Australia online for the same reasons, as well as for longer stays.
The visitor visa for Australia has replaced the now-defunct Australia tourist visa, and all citizens, with the exception of Somalis, can apply online through the Australia Immigration Department.
