One of the accepted English language tests for immigration, the International English Testing System (IELTS) has introduced a new feature called One Skill Retake (OSR).

IELTS OSR permits test-takers to retake only one of the four skills if they need to improve in only one area. In other words, test-takers may now retake one of the four skills on the IELTS exam: Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking. Previously, test-takers who did not meet the score requirements for migration were had to retake the full exam for all four modules.

Note:

Department will accept IELTS test results that include OSR, except for applications for subclass 476, 482, and 485. These three subclasses still require IELTS test scores from a single sitting/attempt.
